There goes the diet!

A new pizzeria opened in Allegan, MI this week called Pitstop Pizza and More. Always willing to try out new eateries and support local businesses, my wife and I took a walk over to order a pie. The pizzeria is themed on the inside, so that as one walks in, the first thing observed is the NASCAR memorabilia. While NASCAR is not my cup of tea, I give the owner props for decorating the place.

After a short wait, we had our order in hand. One hot 12″ pepperoni pizza and a fresh order of breadsticks. The pizza itself is round with a square cut and the medium crust is slightly thinner than the hand-tossed crust at Pizza Hut which is great since I enjoy thin crust pizza but my wife does not, so this is a great compromise. The pizza is well seasoned, piled high with real cheese and pepperoni. The breadsticks were fresh, seasoned and came with multiple containers of red sauce.

All in all, we are very satisfied with the service and food from Pitstop Pizza and More. The owner is friendly, as well as the employees working for him. Although there are one or two pizzerias we have not yet visited in Allegan county, I rate this one as the best thus far!
